Dear Best Friend

Image
Dear Best Friend, I think you deserve the world, yet somehow I don't think you always see that. But I want you to know, I often find my own self wondering what I did to deserve you. You taught me what a soulmate really is, and i wouldn't be able to survive without having you in my life. You come in to people's lives with a purpose and you change them. You make every single person around you better, without even realising it. Because you'll hold them while they cry. You'll make them laugh even when they're sad and you'll forgive them for what they said when they are mad. You believe in them even when they don't believe in themselves. You're there for them even when they haven't always been there for you. And you care for them before you even care for yourself. You get to know them down their very core, even when they're hard to get to know. You go to war for the people that you love, and do it without even thinking. Love isn...

Maybe Everything Happens For A Reason

Image
I have come to terms that you might be leaving. I also have accepted the fact that people can drift a part to opposite sides of thinking , even after expressing emotions, thoughts, that sounded like and tasted and felt completely real. I have now understood what it means when they say "If you truly love someone, you have to let them go." I guess letting go is part of the process, that sometimes we give our hearts to people and end up empty. And you have to support and watch that person from a far as you still wish them success and happiness. And at the same time, you have to move on. And somehow, in the end, we're going to be okay....eventually whilst we still find our footing. We still learn, and accept both the lesson that we did not realize we needed to, and the blessings that comes in finding our way out. " Be patient. Sometimes you have to go through the worst to get the best" And so, I may cry. Who am I kidding. I will cry. But, I'm going to ...

⛰ Cameron Highlands Road Trip! 🚗

Image
Hello there! Fatin here checking in. It has been weeks since our last meeting and a lot has happened. One of the most anticipated road trip has commenced. 3 of my friends and I decided that we needed a gateway from the city life and inhale fresh air and nature. We decided to go to Cameron Highlands which located in Pahang, Malaysia. It took us a good 3 hours to get there from Kuala Lumpur. (Be warned that since the location is up the hill, many winding roads will be waiting for you!) We stayed at Parkland Hotel Express. It was really affordable and the location is very strategic. ( Thanks Agoda.com! ) Since we only had 2 days and one night to spend, we managed to cramp all the fun and adventurous excursions in plan.  First we went to Kea Farm, which has a market that sells local foods, fresh fruits and souvenirs. Everything was a bargain and we managed to snag some fresh strawberries.    I literally went crazy for the flowers! They were bea...

First Week Check In

Image
Over all during the first 7 days , it was a bumpy ride to consistency and discipline. So out of the three criteria of the challenge, training Ab, Running and stretching for a perfect split , I managed to meet Abs and Running more than stretching for the perfect split.   The first day was such a bust, but you live and you learn we can agree to that.  My main problem was the place issue , the first day I went to my gym, like I regularly do, but for some reason (not worth mentioning), it was SUPER crowded, and by SUPER I mean... crazyyyyy !!! I wasn't even able to finish my initial workout, because every single machine was occupied along with the yoga matts AND the free spaces (I'm glad I was able to do anything really).  T he whole environment was very stuffy regardless of how well ventilated the space is, and that made running seem like any one's worst nightmare.  About Abs and stretching... well I can confidently say... THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO FREE SPA...

Someone Who Understands

Image
It was that one night that has been repeating itself over and over and over again for the past month or two. She has lost count of the days, and track of time. She is drowning in the darkness of those endless nights.  It was that one night where it felt like the world is crumbling down on her heart and soul, crushing her life into pieces. Leaving her without any exits or escape routs.  It was that one night where all the demons were out, chasing her into, what seemed like a dead end, not to her misery, but to her life. It was that one night where she saw it again, the dark soulless corner in her mind, the one she has left years ago hoping to never meet again, the corner that she always ran to in time of need, the corner that she felt most comfortable in, the corner that's now covered in spider webs.  It was that one night where she was tired and fed up of all the endless loops, leading back to where she ran from in the first place....

Ketchup Clouds

Image
There’s quite a lot of things I really liked about Ketchup Clouds, and I’ll talk about those things in this review. But firstly, about the novel itself. It’s a uniquely told story in that we’re reading this novel through a series of one way letters from an English girl who calls herself Zoe (not her real name, but that’s how I’ll refer to her throughout) to Stuart Harris, a murderer who is sitting on death row in Texas, USA. This in itself was enough to pique my interest and made me want to read this novel. But it becomes more interesting. Don’t be fooled by the cover that looks carefree and fluffy. This is not the fluffy book that it comes across as. And I really liked that surprise. One thing I actually loved about this book was when I picked it up I was thinking “Ketchup Clouds?! What kind of a title is that?” Honestly after reading it it’s the best kind of title, because it’s relevant to the story and there’s a bit of a back story to it. I am not going to explain what it ...
